Our program focuses on creating a home-like learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow. Through structured routines, play-based learning, and positive relationships, we help children develop social, emotional, and early learning skills that prepare them for future success.

Little Yardigans, Inc.

Chontae Anin Sheyena Jackson is the Owner and Director of Little Yardigans Inc. and has dedicated many years to supporting children and families through early childhood care and education.

Raised in a large and supportive family environment, Chontae developed a strong passion for helping children grow in safe and nurturing spaces. Her commitment to children, families, and community development continues to guide the philosophy and daily operations of Little Yardigans Inc.

Her leadership focuses on creating an environment where children can explore, learn, and develop confidence through positive experiences and supportive relationships.

I’m Chontae Anin Sheyena Jackson. I was born on November 10, 1984, in Whittier, California, and raised in the heart of Cerritos. My educational journey took me through Leo Elementary, Tetzlaff Middle School, and finally Cerritos High School, where I graduated in 2002. During these formative years, I was actively involved in volleyball, earned a special education certificate through my work with children with disabilities, and even had the honor of performing at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center when it first opened.

Following high school, I attended Long Beach City College, where I continued playing volleyball and also served as a cheerleading trainer. From 2009 to 2012, I had the privilege of teaching at the Shabazz South Bay, which deepened my lifelong commitment to working with children.

Motherhood has been one of my greatest joys; I welcomed my daughter in 2004 and my son in 2006. During this time, I also gained valuable experience working with FEMA and later trained as a lab technician, phlebotomist, and medical assistant. Even while exploring the medical field, my passion for childcare remained at the core of who I am.

In 2018, I founded my own childcare business, Little Yardigans (formerly Jackson Family Childcare), in Lancaster, California. I’m proud to say we have earned a five-star rating, and I care for each child as if they were my own. I’m also an avid traveler and cherish time spent with family.

In essence, I’ve dedicated over two decades to nurturing children and building a safe, loving environment for them. With my background in education, healthcare, and business, I bring a well-rounded and professional approach to everything I do.
